    GYNECOLOGY

     

     

     

     

    The gynecology department treats women suffering from urgent gynecological problems, such as:  ectopic pregnancies, vomiting in early weeks of pregnancy, pelvic organ infections, abdominal pains that require investigation or intervention, irregular bleeding, miscarriages/abortions, etc.

      

      

      

      

    In addition, admissions are received through the outpatient clinics, of women who:

    1.      Were examined at the hospital’s gynecology clinic and are admitted for various surgeries performed in the department, such as:  malignant diseases, hysterectomy, prolapsed pelvic organs, incontinence, secondary infertility, ovarian cysts, cervical stitch, etc. (information sheets).

    2.      Women who have received authorization from Committee for Termination of Pregnancy, such as:  due to fetal defects.  There are different methods:  Drug treatment - Mifegyne and Cytotec, Laminaria, 2-balloon catheter, Pitocin and various surgical procedures (information sheet to follow).

    The nursing staff includes registered nurses with bachelors and masters degrees, who are skilled in all existing treatment methods and who are capable of coping with complex situations.  The team works with the paramedical staff:  physiotherapists, dieticians, social workers, and attends to both the physical and emotional needs of the patient and her family members.
