SURGERY A

The General Surgery A Department has been in operation since the hospital was opened, and is part of the hospital’s surgical division and includes the thoracic surgery and trauma units.  The service is provided on an emergency or an elective basis.

The department capacity is 40 beds (15 rooms).

The department is located in the new building on the 2nd floor.

The department is run by Dr. Eli Kakiashvili and his skilled professional team of senior physicians, registered nurses and additional staff.

The surgical treatment includes elective surgeries, such as:  hernia repair; endocrinological surgeries, such as thyroid surgery; oncological surgeries to treat malignant diseases of the digestive system, etc.

Official admission hours and daily activity hours:

Family visiting hours following doctors’ rounds

The general surgery clinic is on Mondays from 13:00 and Wednesdays from 9:00

Breast Clinic:  on Mondays from 13:00 and Wednesdays from 9:00

The Ambulatory Surgical Clinic: Wednesdays from 12:30

Regular surgery days: (not including emergency surgeries) - Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays
